Creating a Photo Cube

This tutorial will show you the quickest way to create a photo cube , which if you create a enough its possible to make a little fort!.

  1. First we are going to need 6 photos. Most people have all their photos stored in their iPhoto library, this makes it easy to load a whole bunch. Simply select "Photos" from under "iPhoto" in the sidebar.

  3. If you don't have iPhoto you will need to navigate to a folder that contains images. Choose 6 of the images and highlight them, hold down the command key (has an apple symbol on some keyboards) when you click on the images, this will stop it from reseting the selection. Once the images are selected, click the "Print & Layouts" button in the toolbar.

  5. It may take a few moments to open all images into the "Print & Layouts" interface, upon completion the interface will slide across to reveal the "Print & Layouts" interface.

  7. At the bottom of the window there is the "Layout" selector, its a wide silver bar with big icons in it.

  9. Underneath the "Layout" selector is a scroll bar, use this bar to scroll the "Layout" selector until "Funtastic Cube" icon is visible. When you can see it, click it to reveal the layout.

  11. Now the layout is visible, you can a preview of where the images will be placed. You can change their placement by simply clicking on one and dragging it to either an empty space or another box. If drop the image onto an existing image, they will trade places. You can also nudge an image by clicking on it, then pressing the arrow keys to move it in that direction.

  15. Now on the non-computer related bit, it will require a pair of scissors and some glue. Start by cutting out the cube, be careful to make sure that you do not cut off the tabs as they will be needed to stick it together.

  17. Turn the page over and fold inwards the little tabs and the panel dividing lines (the thin black lines that separate each panel).

  19. Onto the sticking part, start with the rear two tabs. First stick the right one, then the left one. Next the top two tabs from the sides (not the very top tab yet.
